CBTD is not the first time Mark has looked to redress the balance in the world of whisky. Mark Littler Ltd are a specialist antiques and whisky broker and they work with and alongside the Cheaper By The Dram team to help sell everything from whisky bottles to LS Lowry Prints and Rolex watches to Porche’s.

Mark is somewhat of an unstoppable force and it was not long before he turned his determination to one of the last frontiers of not just whisky, but public retail: whisky casks.

Casks are an area where the knowledge imbalance between buyer and seller was still enabling unscrupulous dealers to dupe, scam and otherwise defraud people out of their love of whisky (and incidentally their money too).

So it was that Mark Littler Ltd ended up selling casks of whisky. Marklitter.com is now one of the largest online resources for information on cask investment that is available for free on the internet. And even if you have no plan to buy a cask of whisky, if you love whisky you may find some of it interesting.

Why the need for so much information on cask of whisky?

If you are interested in whisky, chances are that you have heard about whisky cask investment. The prevalence of cookies and phones in our lives means that if you have even briefly visited a whisky website, mentioned it in a conversation, or even purchased a bottle in a supermarket, then you may have had an advert appear somewhere in your online life.

The thing is that if you look into cask investment then you will find it very difficult to find a list of concrete prices to know if what you are being offered is fair, or what you are being told about that cask’s potential is true.
